Since 1955, The Department of Defense has referred to Titanium Plate, Sheet, and Strip as MIL-T-9046. This specification tends to cause a lot of confusion for Tier 1 Aerospace Manufacturers and OEMs because it covers 20 different types of titanium, and several conditions within some of the alloys. The MIL-T-9046 specification was scheduled for cancellation in 1999 to transition over to the widely used AMS specifications. If you are working on a project that requires this Military Specification, please share with us what Composition and Revision Letter you are looking for so we can help you source the proper material.
