Technical Information for Waspaloy per AMS 5704
Waspaloy per AMS 5704 is a nickel-base, age-hardenable superalloy with excellent high-temperature strength and good resistance to corrosion— notably to oxidation.
AMS 5704 is used for aerospace
and gas turbine engine components at service temperatures up to 1200 ̊F (650 ̊C) for critical rotating applications, and up to 1600 ̊F (870 ̊C) for other, less demanding applications.
Applications include compressor and rotor discs, shafts, spacers, seals, rings and casings, fasteners and other miscellaneous engine hardware, airframe assemblies and missile systems.
The AMS 5704 specification covers Waspaloy, corrosion and heat resistant nickel alloy in the form of forgings and forging stock.
