Hastelloy C276 (Alloy C-276®) Nickel Alloy
Hastelloy C276 (Alloy C-276®, UNS N10276) is a nickel-molybdenum-chromium alloy with an addition of tungsten, engineered for exceptional corrosion resistance in some of the most severe service environments. Its high molybdenum content provides excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, while chromium improves performance in oxidizing media and tungsten enhances resistance in strongly reducing conditions.
The alloy’s very low carbon content helps minimize carbide precipitation during welding, maintaining corrosion resistance in the as-welded condition. As a result, C276 nickel alloy is widely used in pollution control equipment, chemical and petrochemical processing, pulp and paper production, waste treatment, and other applications where both corrosion resistance and weldability are critical.

Hastelloy C276 plate and sheet are supplied to ASTM B575 for rolled flat products used in severe corrosion and high-temperature service where long-term reliability is critical.
