JETHETE M152 Stainless Steel
The specification for the Rolls-Royce aerospace material MSRR 6544 provides information about using Jethete M152, a high-strength martensitic alloy steel designed for high-temperature turbine engine operation. Hot sections (e.g., the turbine disc and blade) of the turbine engine are usually made from this material and operate at temperatures as high as ~560 °C. This material has a large amount of creep resistance and retains toughness when subjected to stress, making it an appropriate candidate for critical aerospace applications.
Typical Applications of MSRR 6544
Materials manufactured to the MSRR 6544 specification are used in aerospace and gas turbine components where high strength and long-term reliability are required.
Typical applications include:
- Turbine blades
- Turbine discs
- Aerospace bolts and screws
- High-strength engine fasteners
- Precision rings and turbine hardware
What is Jethete M152 ?
Jethete M152 is a type of stainless steel that is very tough and resistant to corrosion while at the same time possessing excellent strength properties. It is increasingly being used in the aerospace industry, the military, and heavy industries. It is a preferred material because it has excellent tensile strength, above 1700 MPa, and can withstand extreme conditions without failing.
