AMS 5566
AMS 5566 is the SAE Aerospace Material Specification for Type 304 (UNS S30400) stainless steel welded tubing in the 1/8 hard condition. Cold working after welding and annealing increases strength while retaining adequate ductility for aerospace structural and hydraulic applications.
AMS 5566 specifies Type 304 welded 1/8 hard tubing with 100 ksi minimum UTS and 75 ksi minimum yield. Weld zone inspection required. Covers the same OD range as AMS 5565 in the higher-strength 1/8 hard condition.
