AMS 4907 - 6Al-4V Titanium Alloy Sheet, Strip, and Plate (ELI)

The AMS 4907 specification covers a titanium alloy in the form of sheet, strip, and plate. These products have been used typically for parts requiring a combination of weldability, ductility, and good notch-toughness down to –423 °F (–253 °C), but usage is not limited to such applications. Certain processing procedures and service conditions may cause these products to become subject to stress corrosion cracking; ARP982 recommends practices to minimize such condition.
AMS 4907 ELI vs. AMS 4911
6Al4V ELI per AMS 4907 (Grade 23) is very similar to 6Al4V (Grade 5), except that 6Al4V ELI per AMS 4907 contains reduced levels of oxygen, nitrogen, carbon and iron.
What does ELI stand for?
ELI is short for “Extra Low Interstitials”, and these lower interstitials provide improved ductility and better fracture toughness for the 6Al4V ELI material.

Sheet Thicknesses range from 0.0120″ to .150″ Thick.
