ASTM B161 - Nickel 200 / Nickel 201 Seamless Tubing
The Nickel 200/201 seamless tubing with corrosion resistance and high-temperature properties follows the standard requirements specified by ASTM B161. These commercially pure nickel alloys are unique with their high mechanical strength, good ductility, and high corrosion resistance properties against a broad range of chemicals.
Nickel 201 is a low carbon content alloy derived from Nickel 200, with a carbon content of 0.02%. It is primarily selected for conditions where temperatures are above 600°F (315°C) to prevent carbon-induced embrittlement. It demonstrates good properties in harsh alkaline and/or neutral environments with high toughness, weldability, and corrosion resistance.
Properties of ASTM B161 Nickel Tubing
