Maraging Stainless Steel
C250/C300/C350 Maraging are ultra-high-strength 18% nickel maraging steels, developed to serve applications requiring extraordinary strength, toughness, and stability in dimension. Their strengthening mechanism is not through any of the carbon-containing hardening processes.
Maraging steels were developed in the early 1960s as a response to a need to develop a high-strength material with good toughness and machinability. Maraging refers to martensitic aging, a strengthening mechanism employed in these steels.
C250/C300/C350 Maraging are designations within a family of 18% nickel maraging steels, where these designations are indicative of different levels of strength.
