GMS 3102 - 6Al-6V-2Sn Titanium Alloy Special Grade Forging Stock (Gulfstream)
GMS 3102 is the Gulfstream Aerospace Material Specification for special grade titanium alloy forging stock, covering both the 6Al-4V and 6Al-6V-2Sn titanium alloy systems. This specification establishes Gulfstream’s enhanced quality and traceability requirements for titanium forging stock used in primary structural forgings on Gulfstream business jet programs.
The 6Al-6V-2Sn version of GMS 3102 is called out where the high-strength Ti-662 alloy is required to meet strength margins on Gulfstream aircraft structural forgings.
