AMS 4921 - Commercially Pure Titanium Bars and Billets
AMS 4921 is the SAE specification for commercially pure titanium bars and billets in the annealed condition. This specification covers the chemistry, mechanical properties, and testing requirements for unalloyed titanium long products used for machined components in aerospace, chemical processing, medical, and industrial applications.
Bars and billets per AMS 4921 are used for corrosion-resistant machined components including valve bodies, pump housings, fasteners, heat exchanger tube sheets, and medical implant components where the biocompatibility, non-magnetic properties, and corrosion resistance of commercially pure titanium are required.
