AMS 5703 - Nickel 706 Bars, Forgings & Rings
AMS 5703 covers Nickel 706 (UNS N09706) in forms such as bars, forgings, and rings that have been melted by consumable electrode or vacuum induction, then solution heat-treated at 1750 °F (954 °C), stabilized, and precipitation hardened. The result is a fully aged condition that delivers maximum strength, creep resistance, and high-temperature stability.
Nickel 706 to AMS 5703 provides excellent mechanical properties combined with good formability and exceptional oxidation resistance. Specific critical aerospace and turbine applications requiring long-term performance to 1300°F (704°C) should use this material.
