ABS5441 - Airbus Specification for INCONEL 718 Sheet
ABS5441 is an Airbus Material Specification for Nickel Alloy 718 (UNS N07718) sheets, almost identical to AMS 5597. Inconel 718 is a precipitation-hardening Nickel-Chromium alloy containing outstanding strength properties, excellent oxidation resistance, and good creep-rupture strength up to 1300°F (704°C).
thanks to its characteristic composition, this alloy retains stability and hardness in harsh environments, which makes it a leading material in airframe structures, jet engine parts, fastenings on Airbus aircraft, and so on.
Airbus Specifications and Quality Compliance
As a Tier 1 Aerospace company, Airbus holds its subcontractors to the same standards by ensuring they source material per ABS5441 from approved sources. This creates accountability and ensures the highest quality standards are achieved in the manufacturing process.
Where is ABS5441 material used?
ABS5441 is used in jet engine components, airframe structures, and fastening systems that demand high-temperature strength.
