INCONEL 718 Per BMS7-415
BMS 7-415 is a NICKEL 718 Boeing Material Specification for “NICKEL ALLOY 718 PLATE” under AMS 5596
Nickel 718 is an austenitic nickel-based superalloy. Alloy 718 exhibits excellent high yield tensile and creep-rupture properties at temperatures up to 1300ºF and oxidation resistance to 1800ºF. Alloy 718 is used in applications that require high strength such as parts for jet engines and high speed airframe parts such as wheels, buckets, spacers and high temperature bolts and fasteners.
Boeing Quality per BMS 7-415
BMS stands for “Boeing Material Specification” and originate from Boeing’s headquarters in Seattle, WA. For more information on BMS7-415 please refer to:
D1-4426 Approved Process Lists
As a Tier 1 Aerospace company, Boeing holds its subcontractors to the same standards by ensuring they source BMS7-415 from approved sources. This creates accountability and ensures the highest quality standards are achieved in the manufacturing process.
Fighter Jet Metals works with Aerospace OEMs to maintain the BMS7-415 specification for Nickel 718 Plate. If you are currently managing a project that requires BMS7-415 please reach out to us so we can assist.
